Current Projects

Oak Glen Substation
Aldridge Electric is currently constructing the Oak Glen Substation, a two-circuit 34.5-kV to 69-kV collection substation on the site of Oak Glen Wind Farm near Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
The project’s owner/developer is the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, Avant Energy is the overall project manager, and Mortenson Construction is the General Contractor. The overall $130 million project includes erection of 24 1.8-megawatt turbines and design and construction of foundations, access roads, underground collection and the on-site 69-kV substation. The renewable power from Oak Glen Wind Farm will help MMPA to meet Minnesota’s requirement of 25% of electrical energy being generated from renewable sources by 2025.

Port Authority Trans Hudson
Aldridge Electric, as part of a consortium team with Siemens Transportation Systems, Safetran Systems Corp, and Daidone Electric are currently providing services to modernize and automate the existing PATH rail system connecting New York and New Jersey. This $350 million project will increase passenger capacity from 240,000 passengers to 290,000 passengers per day. By implementing a new Communication-based Train Control (CBTC) to the PATH rail system the intervals between the trains will be reduced and more trains can use the same track. Scope of services includes state-of-the-art Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system, Positive Train Control (PTC) technology, signal replacement on the entire 43 miles of track, and 13 stations.

Congress Parkway Bridge Rehabilitation, Chicgao, IL
This $8.5 million project involves the rehabilitation of the existing Congress Parkway Bridge over the south branch of the Chicago River. Scope of services include the main drive replacement, replacement of control systems, provide PCL control system, facility lighting, power distribution panels and switchgear, cable and conduit routing, traffic signals and emergency power.

Indian River Inlet Bridge, Rehoboth Beach, DE
Aldridge Electric has been selected to provide electrical service and maintenance lighting, DelDOT Intelligent Traffic Management Systems (ITMS), bridge monitoring instrumentation, and the design and installation of a sand-bypass system over the main span of on a new cable stay bridge.
